Dr. Barrett made a root canal, that is not what most would consider fun, as pleasant experience as it could possibly be. I was amazed at how quick the procedure took (less than an hour, and it was a difficult case). The staff was warm and accommodating and made me feel very comfortable during an uncomfortable experience. Dr. Barrett is by far a NOTCH above any other dentist I've seen for a more in depth procedure like a root canal, and I strongly recommend him for your dental needs. Thank you so much for making a root canal relatively painless!!

I have severe anxiety about dental procedures. Dealing with office closures and scaled back operations amid the COVID 19 crises was not the time to have extreme tooth pain. Dr. McEntire did an emergency consultation and determined I needed a root canal. He and his staff were so professional and compassionate. They explained every step of the procedure and checked on my anxiety level throughout. I had never had a root canal and did not know what to expect. I am petrified of needles and pain, but the whole process was a pleasant surprise. The only discomfort I experienced was the pinch of the initial injection. I highly recommend this great group of professionals!

I had recently experienced some specific tooth pain. After being diagnosed needing a root canal on 2/24 the attending dentist could not perform the procedure until 3/4, therefore referring me to Palmetto Endodontics. I was given a copy of my diagnosis, referral, and xrays and took them to Palmetto Endodontics on 2/25 and presented them to Emily. She coordinated my scheduling for this procedure with Dr.McEntire and they worked me in the same day. I am not one who looks forward to going to the dentist; however, if I had to go, especially for this procedure, this is the place. They made the entire process a very pleasant experience. My thanks go out to Dr. McEntire, Emily, and the entire staff.

I have had many root canals and as usual, I was a nervous mess sitting in the office. After all was said and done the Reception was great, friendly and very professional. The doctor was all business and did a great job. The billing dept was efficient and this Dr definitely gets an A+.

Just had root canal. Checked with them yesterday about their rates and I was given a range of $200-$300 with insurance on an overall charge of $1,025-$1,125. Checked with my insurance company and they said at the upperrate, I would only have to pay $200. My charge was $305. Now, here's the rub. According to this website https://www.bracesinfo.com/dentalcosts/us/sc/columbia-sc/endodontics.html, the average fee in Columbia, SC is $639.54 with a 95th percentile price of $842.92. Given my insurance pays 80%, I would only owe approximately$169 worst case. Palmetto made an additional $280.08 overall overcharging me by almost twice. When I pointed out that I spoke to my insurance company, they were non-pulsed. They said that if the insurance company overpaid, I'd get my money back. Right! Their business practices are predatory. If I would not have had time constraints to deal with, I would have found another Endodontist just based on my conversation with them on the phone. I recommend you find another Endodontist.

I have severe anxiety, especially when I go to the dentist. I had to have a root canal and was referred to Dr. Spitz. Very professional at both the consultation and the actual appointment. They made sure I was completely comfortable and checked with me throughout the process. I was in and out in approximately an hour. I highly recommend Dr. Spitz and her group. If I have to have anything else done I will not be as anxious going in.
