Dr. Mayes McEntire grew up in Newberry, South Carolina, and graduated with honors from Presbyterian College. He completed Dental School at the Medical University of South Carolina and then attended The Ohio State University where he received his Specialty Certificate in Endodontics and his Masters of Science.
While at Ohio State, he completed extensive clinical research involving local anesthesia and is committed to providing pain-free endodontic procedures for his patients.
Dr. McEntire returned to South Carolina in 2009 to join Palmetto Endodontics and has performed thousands of endodontic procedures.

Everything from start to finish was awesome. I have terrible dental anxiety and was seriously dreading having this done. Everything was amazing though. Dr. McEntire and the staff acknowledged my anxiety and did everything they could to make the experience as easy as possible. I didn’t feel a single thing during the procedure and they made sure to check in constantly to make sure I was okay. Dr. McEntire and Sarah at the Lex office were so professional and courtesy but beyond that they are kind and welcoming. I was extremely nervous but they made me feel safe. The whole procedure was very quick and they were able to answer all my questions and give me follow up procedures. No one likes having dental work and I hate it but if you need such treatment there is no where better to go. Thanks for everything, guys!
