I have had at least 3 prior root canals. Today was my first where I started falling asleep ! Painless, as most root canals are (unless abscess is there, then you have pain) In this case , the way the Dr and tech work together is what makes the technique go quicker and without making you nervous. Being asked how you are , often, means alot to me.

Came in for a apicoectomy at the end of September. Dr. Spitz recommended an apico on my front right incisor and the lateral next to it. I have crowns on my six front teeth. Although Dr. Spitz told me there may be SOME gum recession I was not prepared for what was a total loss of papilla between my insicor and lateral tooth. I have since been seeing a dentist to try to figure out a plan to fix this. I feel my mouth is totally disfigured. I never dreamed trying to save a tooth would totally destroy my smile. I have been severely depressed since this has happened. I am going to a doctor for depression. I wish I could get a dentist to just pull my teeth and put in a partial or even a full denture. It would look better than the mess that is in my mouth but they won't do it. If they knew the mental anguish this is causing me maybe they would. They wouldn't want this in their mouth. I look at people with dentures and envy them because at least they are not embarrassed to smile. I used to be very outgoing. Now I hardly talk to anyone.

Dr. April K. Spiz is awesome! My mom was very happy with her root canal job. She said that it was a very pleasant experience and the doctor was very gentle and it did not hurt at all.I will definitely be back if I ever need my root canal done and will recommend my family and friends to come see her. The office staffs are very friendly and the office was also very nice and clean!
