After graduating first in his Dental School class from the Medical University of South Carolina, Dr. Barrett completed his residency at the University of Maryland then returned to South Carolina to practice.
He started Palmetto Endodontics in 2001 and has completed over 40,000 procedures.

Activities & Interests
Dr. Barrett and his wife, Crystal, have two sons (both attend Wofford College) and reside in Columbia. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time hanging out with his family and friends at Wofford, fishing in Montana, chilling at Folly Beach, travelling to watch professional baseball games and driving tractors at his timber farm.

Dr. Barrett and his team did a phenomenal job with my dental care. I went in feeling nervous due to past experiences at other offices, but he and his team did a great job making me feel comfortable. Dr. Barrett is very knowledgeable and gives great advice on current and future treatments. As soon as the procedure was over I was left speechless because I thought there would be more to it, but he was gentle and kind and it allowed for a smooth procedure. I will definitely be coming back to him if I need any future endodontic work. Great staff, great facility, and overall great experience.

I highly recommend Dr Barrett. He was very professional, explained the procedure before he started and kept me informed during the process. It is the day after the procedure now and there is no pain in my tooth. It was a little tender when I awoke, but I never experienced pain.
