After graduating first in his Dental School class from the Medical University of South Carolina, Dr. Barrett completed his residency at the University of Maryland then returned to South Carolina to practice.
He started Palmetto Endodontics in 2001 and has completed over 40,000 procedures.
Dr. Barrett has been continually rated as a top endodontist in the Columbia area.

Dr. Barrett and his wife, Crystal, have two sons (both attend Wofford College) and reside in Columbia. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time hanging out with his family and friends at Wofford, fishing in Montana, chilling at Folly Beach, travelling to watch professional baseball games and driving tractors at his timber farm.

They are personable and highly skilled, thoroughly explaining treatment and procedures with utmost care for the patient's comfort and understanding. My husband was referred to Dr. Barrett by our family dentist, and upon our first visit we felt at ease and confident that this is where we would get answers that we were unable to get from a previous endodontist and oral surgeon. This practice does everything possible to save the patient's tooth rather than rushing to extraction without trying other options, as was the case with the previous doctors we went to.
