Dr. Mayes McEntire grew up in Newberry, South Carolina, and graduated with honors from Presbyterian College. He completed Dental School at the Medical University of South Carolina and then attended The Ohio State University where he received his Specialty Certificate in Endodontics and his Masters of Science.
While at Ohio State, he completed extensive clinical research involving local anesthesia and is committed to providing pain-free endodontic procedures for his patients.
Dr. McEntire returned to South Carolina in 2009 to join Palmetto Endodontics and has performed thousands of endodontic procedures.

I have to report, my first ever root canal process was a breeze! My dentist confirmed the problem during emergency appointment and secured my "next morning" appointment with Dr. M. McEnitre before I completed my cleaning procedure! The anticipation and anxiety throughout the night was gone as the highly qualified staff and gentle manner with which Dr. McEntire attended to me got underway. Reassurances and process updates during the procedure were very calming. Such a "Pro" we have in Dr. McEntire here in the Columbia area, made my experience a positive one.
