Dr. Mayes McEntire grew up in Newberry, South Carolina, and graduated with honors from Presbyterian College. He completed Dental School at the Medical University of South Carolina and then attended The Ohio State University where he received his Specialty Certificate in Endodontics and his Masters of Science.
While at Ohio State, he completed extensive clinical research involving local anesthesia and is committed to providing pain-free endodontic procedures for his patients.
Dr. McEntire returned to South Carolina in 2009 to join Palmetto Endodontics and has performed thousands of endodontic procedures.

I experienced my first root canal today and fell in love with Dr. Mayes. He made me feel very comfortable as he walked me through the process. He has the best numbing technique I have ever seen. I was very impressed with the staff, and everyone was so friendly. I recommend 10 out of 10!!!

Dr. McEntire and the staff at palmetto endodontics showed and welcomed me with great hospitality and the service was phenomenal. I was a little afraid to get a root canal done because of previous issues from a different doctors office, but Dr. McEntire performed the procedure and made sure I knew every step he was making. Now I’m able to drink a nice cold glass of water without having a jolt of pain running through my tooth. I would definitely recommend this dentist office to anyone. Thanks again
